It's Pilons
Carrer dels es Pilons Monistrol de Montserrat B
The name refers to the weights that regulated the clock of the bell tower of the Sant Pere church. Over the years, the site has maintained the old salted article 'es' and the place name Espilons has been born.
Els Espilons was also a place of passage of the old path that went up to Montserrat from the royal road from Barcelona to Manresa. Of the Espilons is remarkable the house raised on the arch of passage, of clear Gothic reminiscences.
The popular legend explains that in the Espilons there is buried the hand of a giant that scares the children that passes through.
